"Protecting the city of Ura Vajgurore from flooding and erosion of the Osum River"
Protection from floods of the Osum River has been made possible by the construction of embankments on both sides of the river with a length of 675m. To stabilize the stability of this bank, the project foresees the construction of a scarp with stones arranged to the depth of the river bed. To create an environmentally friendly effect, the scarp of this scarp from the minimum water level to the upper part of the bank is accompanied by a wall of the Geoweb system that ensures the permanent greening of the scarp according to the following cross-section. For flood protection, it is envisaged to raise the existing gabion wall on the right bank of the river above the bridge to a level of 50cm above the maximum water level for the flow Q1% =1290 m3/sec. It is also planned to continue this wall with a new gabion wall with a length of 209m.
